SYNOPSIS: A boy returns home from his studies in Europe, two days before he is enlisted into the army. A sensitive depiction of an 18-year-old's struggle between national duties and personal liberty.

Director’s bio:
Boo Junfeng is one of the most prolific Singaporean short filmmakers in recent years. His short films have screened and garnered awards at more than 30 international film festivals. In 2005, Junfeng was selected for the inaugural session of the Asian Film Academy in Korea, headed by acclaimed Taiwanese director, Hou Hsiao Hsien. He continued his film education graduating in 2008 from The Puttnam School of Film at Lasalle College of the Arts with valedictorian honour. He also directed a segment in Lucky 7, an experimental feature film aimed at promoting collaboration amongst filmmakers in Singapore. He is currently working on his full-length feature debut with Zhao Wei Films, a production company helmed by acclaimed director-producer Eric Khoo. The film project, Sandcastle, was selected at the Pusan Promotion Plan in 2008 and is slated for production in 2009.
